Yin Min Blue, a color recently discovered, ranges from a light blue gray to a medium-value, rich, almost cobalt, blue. It depends upon the amount of water used for dilution. A variety of blues were used to create this painting, although YinMin is by far the predominant blue.

Collectors of my art know to look for extra, surprising imagery throughout the painting. In this instance, I set out to paint the moon over the ocean. Any added imagery simply shows up, creating a bonus painting within a painting.

Take time to daydream and do some cloud-watching when gazing at this piece. You’re sure to find something not often seen in the sky. Just relax and go with the flow.
