FUN 2.0: Fundamentals of Watercolor 2.0

This class is for you if you’ve previously taken a class and created a color mixing cheat sheet with me. This is for you if you want to take a deeper dive into painting with watercolor. The subject matter fluctuates with the needs of the students. In-person instruction, step-by-step guides, and Videos are always included. (*You must have taken a previous class with Patrice before taking FUN 2.0)

This 6-session, technique-driven class includes:

• Easy-to-follow, step-by-step lesson instructions

• Professional Guides and Handouts explain concepts covered in class

Color, value, composition, design, emotions, directionality, movement, and flow all play a role in creating successful paintings and growing your painting practice. This is for you if you want to improve your watercolor paintings — whether or not you’re taking one of the FUNdamentals classes!

Do you want to find out what’s working in your paintings before you find out what isn’t? Learn to shift your perspective and turn an “oops” into a success while learning the lesson it holds for you. We often learn best when we learn with others. Bonds are created and strengthened as we watch others progress. We learn from one another’s painting steps and missteps.

FUN Feedback includes:
• One 60-minute zoom session per month for three months
• Two individual personal, private emails/month per student

About Patrice

Patrice A Federspiel has a BS in Art Education from the University of WI, Madison. She’s been teaching the joys of painting with watercolor for the past 15 years. Students range in age from 5 to 85 and each one has painted successfully. She taught Watercolor through the Honolulu Museum of Art for 12 years and has offered Private Lessons to individuals and through business organizations for 15 years. Her paintings and prints are in private collections around the world.

As a Lifetime, Signature Member, and Trustee of the Hawaii Watercolor Society, Patrice chaired their Workshops for eight years, learning valuable teaching practices from some of the best workshop teachers in the country. She loves to share all of these beloved techniques and ideas with YOU!

I provide the supplies, Hawai‘i provides the subject matter, and YOU have all the FUN!  Whether traveling for business, pleasure, or just traveling through life, keeping a record of your journey can be one of the best presents you give yourself and those you love.
