Heliconia were one of the first flowers to capture my imagination when I moved here. I had never seen anything like them and they fascinated me. They still do, coming in so many shapes, sizes, and colors — some grow up and others grow down. They seem very whimsical to me.

These particular heliconia are dreaming of warm summer days with gentle trade winds gusting through their foliage. Oh, like today! The weather in Hawai`i is perfect for Heliconia, all year round. May all your dreams come true for you, just as they did for these fanciful flowers.
