My Inner Wise Self and Me, Part 1
Open yourself up to the possibility of something greater, of something more.
Pineapple Splash
This just in: Pineapple smashed by Waves at the beach resurfaces as an original watercolor painting: Pineapple Splash!
Who DO you think you ARE?
I had a great time being photographed by Jeremy DeWeese last month. It was SO much FUN! And then I got self-conscious about the experience. Silly Me! Human Me! What a GREAT experience!
Why Paint?
Paint to relax, to clear your mind, to open your eyes, to see more of the world around you, to unwind, to enjoy more of life, to refresh your spirit, to give you a stable footing in the world, to round out your life, to have FUN.
Simply Paint.
Taking Time to Play
"I've looked at trees from both sides now, from up and down, and still somehow. It's trees illusions I recall, I really don't know trees at all." A special thank you, call out, and begging of forgiveness for changing the words, to Joni Mitchell and Judy Collins!
Creativity as a Way of Life
When originally titled "Creation", I had no idea just how accurate it was. Read on to find all of the creatures I've found within its borders in the last ten months. I'm certain there are more to be found and you can help find them!
Mother Nature, Mother Nurture
This painting is part of my Oracle Series. Oracles were once sought out as a source of wisdom and advice. All of my paintings teach me something about life. I hope that they also show you something about yourself and your life.
We’ve all seen images of flowers and seedlings growing out of rocks. Life won’t be stopped. This tree appears ready to take flight.
Dream Time
This iconic figure sprang forth one day, asking to be painted. She is rarely seen because she is so well camouflaged in the night sky. Her hair is a billowing white cloud, while her gown is more like the darkest clouds of the blackest night sky. Each night she seeds the stars, ensuring we have their twinkling presence (even when they are hidden by clouds, the stars inhabit the night sky because of her).
Spring Retreat vs. Spring Break
Retreat for Renewal, for Rejoicing in our capabilities, for Stretching ourselves, for Personal Growth and Change; for a "System Upgrade".
The Space Between Comfort Zones
Moving from Fear, Dread, Inertia, and Angst, to Momentum and Beyond!
What do Artists and Scientists Have in Common?
From S.T.E.M. to S.T.E.A.M! Yippee! The Arts are beginning to be added back into school Curriculum! What those of us in the fields of art have known all along, the rest of the country is beginning to realize. Hooray!
ART encourages imagination and imagination leads to increased creativity and increased creativity leads to innovation and innovation leads to new worlds previously unexplored!
