I put this pineapple painting aside for a year before finishing it. Silly me. It was almost ripe that whole time! Perhaps I wasn’t ready to face quite that much “sunshine” in my life. I doubt it. More likely it just wasn’t meeting my expectations. Funny thing is that when I finally dug it out of my portfolio it made me laugh at myself for having waited.
