Honu do not breathe underwater, so you will often see them pop their heads above water to take a breath before diving back under to forage for food or have their shells cleaned by the small fish eating the algae off them. This honu is just beginning his ascent for a breath of fresh air. May he serve as a reminder for you to take a breath from time to time, to come up for air and take a break!
