How do you like my snowman? He’s rather short, has a goatee, and is shaped more like a bowling pin than a snowman. The snow was wet and really heavy, and I haven’t made one in over 30 years. He was so much fun to make. Can you tell that I felt like a kid again? I made him while on a quick trip to Wisconsin to spend time with my siblings before the holidays. It’s definitely chillier there than in Hawaii, making it much harder to get out of bed in the morning.

Traveling for any reason, can bring clarity
and a fresh perspective to life.

As I thought about painting and teaching while away, I realized that there are lots of reasons to learn to paint — relaxation, the desire to see what you can create, the need to fill time once filled by a job, the aspiration to meditate, the longing for a new hobby, a desire to paint to sell, & more.
|
Of all the reasons to paint,
JOY is my personal favorite!
