Palm Frond Series

The fronds portrayed in here are from the Arika, Palmetto, and Chinese Fan palms growing in Hawai‘i. Before the fronds fall from the trees, they turn a brilliant gold. Later, our harsh sun bleaches them to tints of silver, gray, brown, and, with a good imagination, blue. Piles of fallen leaves lining our roads are a great source of inspiration. In these tidy bundles I see patterns, which in turn inspire thoughts about life. Each painting is titled, the title will display when you click on the image.
