The Bird of Paradise has long been one of my favorite flowers. They captivated my attention the first time I saw them in an arrangement in Wisconsin (of all places). Buying flowers was one of my restaurant duties back in the 1980s and Hawaiian flowers graced the lobby whenever I could find them.
